Eden’s mission is to transform the conveyancing industry. With dedicated property lawyers and a purpose-built online platform, Eden’s brand is to provide a completely transparent service, so that buying or selling a home is a smooth and enjoyable experience.

As a UI Designer for Eden, I have led various projects from start-to-finish such as full features and smaller refinements. These all include researching best practises, designing scalable solutions, writing up technical specs, prototyping and more.

At the time of writing this, I have been at Eden for a short time but I have designed 5 fully fleshed out MVP features and weekly design refinements, all working in an agile scrum environment with limited timeframes.

Most features haven’t been fully built yet, so for NDA reason I cannot show. However, see below a feature that launched recently.

Property Lawyer Task Dashboard and Task Management

The Property Lawyer (PL) dashboard allows Eden-dedicated PLs to manage their tasks for each case better. With one PL working on numerous cases at once, tasks can quickly become very overwhelming.

Working closely with our UX Designer who briefed me on the user interviews, affinity maps, user flows and wireframes – I carefully planned all design decisions around the research provided i.e. due to the number of tasks in each case, we needed a system that allows for actioning in bulk or because multiple cases can be managed by more than one PL, we need a notes section on the task page in order to discuss the details of each task.

During the design process I also worked closely with our developers to ensure what’s being done is possible and includes best practise of re-using what’s already been built using Angular.

The dashboard has so far helped our PLs to excel in their day-to-day work and have seen a huge increase in their efficiency gains which has bled out into customers praising their PLs for their fast turnaround.
